The house was built in the 20th year of the Republic of China (1931), originally owned by the Wang puppet traitor Li Shiqun, and was confiscated after the victory of the War of Resistance. In 1948, Chiang Ching-kuo brought his wife and children to Hangzhou to live here. The former residence faces east and west, built according to the mountain. The south side of the courtyard faces the street wall with reddish-brown blocks of stone, the north side of the mountain is natural cliff wall as a barrier. There are 2 houses in the courtyard, both main and secondary, which are Western-style two-storey houses. The first floor of the main building for the dining room, meeting room and so on, the second floor for the study and bedroom, the suite in the southeast corner is the bedroom of Chiang Ching-kuo and his wife. Chiang Ching-kuo was an important political figure in the Republic of China, and his former residence was of great value in studying his activities in Hangzhou.
