Statue of Mahogara in Baocheng Temple is located on the hillside of Ziyang Mountain, southeast of Wushan Mountain. In 2001, it was included in the fifth batch of key national cultural relics protection units. The temple sits west to east, courtyard form, is opposite the temple door as a whole rock wall, in front of the building has a single cloister.
Three niches were carved side by side on the rock wall. In the middle, there was a third-generation Buddha statue excavated in the Fifth Dynasties Wuyue State period. The niche is rectangular in shape, with a slight arc at the top, 2.45 meters high and 4.1 meters wide.
In the niche were three small niches, in the middle of which was the statue of Maho Gezhi. The statue, 1.38 meters high, features short legs, bulging eyebrows, curly hair, staring whiskers, feet on human beings, holding human skulls, as if the sun were coming down on the devil's face.
On the left is Manjusri's lion riding, on the right hand, with a skull hanging from his chest, and on the right is Pu-hsien's fierce-looking figure, with a head hanging from a white elephant's lemon horns. The rear of the three images is pointed arch flame backlight. There are three golden-winged birds in relief on the lintel of the niche, and birds and beasts on the left and right sides. The north wall of the niche has a Yuan to Zhi two-year image inscription.
