Located in Zijin Beach, Luotong Community, Xin'anjiang Street, it took three years from 1957 to 1959. It is the first large-scale hydropower station designed and constructed by our self. The dam of Xin'anjiang Power Station is 466.5 meters in length, 105 meters in height and 9 flood holes in the center, with a maximum discharge of 13,200 cubic meters per second. The length of the power plant is 216.1 meters, the net width is 17 meters, and the net height is 42.75 meters. Xin'anjiang Hydropower Station is mainly devoted to generating electricity, and has social and economic benefits such as flood control, irrigation, shipping and fishing.The construction of Xin'anjiang Hydropower Station has added a new power source to the socialist construction in East China and is a glorious milestone in China's water conservancy and hydropower construction.
