Ma Yinchu is a contemporary Chinese economist, educator and demographer.
Ma Yinchu's former residence is located at 210 Qingchun Road, Hangzhou. The main building was built in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 486 square meters. The three-storey, brick-and-mortar garden villa is also known as the Bamboo House, which is engraved on the south wall of the balcony on the third floor.
Bamboo House was purchased by Ma In-cho in 1936. He lived in the house from 1936 to the summer of 1937. He also lived in bamboo houses for some time after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945 and during his tenure as president of Zhejiang University from August 1949 to 1951. Ma Yinchu wrote some economic essays and speeches in the bamboo house. Ma Yinchu wrote some economic essays and speeches in the bamboo house. In September 2004, Ma Yinchu Memorial Hall was officially opened to the public free of charge. After the renovation of the old house basically remained the original appearance, the first floor and the second floor for the exhibition hall, and restored Ma's study and bedroom.
In May 2006, Ma Yinchu's old residence was included in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
