The site of Zhijiang University is located on Qinwang Mountain near Qiantang River, Zhijiang Road, West Lake Scenic Area, Hangzhou. In 1952, the departments of Zhijiang University were divided into Tongji, Shanghai Finance and Economics, Zhejiang Normal University and Zhejiang University. The former site is Zhejiang University campus. There are 24 buildings on the campus, including Shensitang, Huidetang, Peiweijae, Tongdang, and the Observatory, which were built from 1910 to 1915, and 18 libraries, science museums, and Tonghuaitang after 1929. The three-storey house is based on a red brick exterior and a red tile roof, and the architectural style is simple and novel, with the style of modern European architecture emerging from World War I and World War II. In 2006, the site of Zhijiang University was announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of key national cultural relics protection units.
