Zhang Taiyan (1859-1936), Ming Binglin, Uncle Mei, he was a master of Chinese traditional culture in modern times, a thinker and revolutionary of the Chinese national bourgeoisie, a pioneer in overthrowing the feudal monarchy of Qing Dynasty, opposing Yuan Shikai's claim to emperor and actively building a republic. He is one of China's "heroes of China" for more than two thousand years. Premier Zhou Enlai once praised as "a generation of Confucianism, Park, learning and revolutionary achievements forever in history, is the pride of the people of Zhejiang."

Zhang Taiyan was born and raised in the Department of Zhang Taiyan, where he spent 22 spring and autumn of his youth, after entering the revolution, also he went back home to visit relatives for several times, also asylum. In 2006, it was included in the sixth batch of key national cultural relics protection units.
