Ding Henian, character Yonggeng, a native of Youheshan, ancestral home in Persia, a great poet of the Hui ethnic group in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. After Ding He died, he was buried in the former Huimin Nanyuan Cemetery (now Liulang Wenyingnei). Later generations felt his filial piety and built a pavilion next to the tomb to commemorate it. After October 1949, the site of Ding Henian's tomb was opened as a park, and the tomb was buried deep in the soil and the stone pavilion was retained. In 1999, the Hangzhou Islamic Church organized the construction of the "Ding Henian Tomb Pavilion" stele, with inscriptions. The pavilion sits west facing east and has a spire with hexagonal eaves. The tomb pavilion of Ding Henian is well preserved and is a historical witness of the friendly exchanges between China and the Arab people.
