(1) The middle and west buildings of the Xinxin hotel
Xinxin Hotel, built in 1922, formerly known as Xinxin Hotel, is one of the earliest new hotels in Hangzhou. The West Building was built in 1924 as the villa of Liu, a wealthy merchant in Nanxun, called the "Lonely Cloud Grass House", and once served as the official residence of Zhu Jiahua, chairman of Zhejiang Province of the Kuomintang. The two buildings are sitting north facing south, brick and wood structure, the façade adopts Ionic column style, the decoration is slender, elegant and solemn, influenced by the baroque style popular in commercial buildings at that time, magnificent and gorgeous, is an important modern building in Hangzhou.
(2) Jingyi villa
Jingyi Villa was built in the early years of the Republic of China and was originally the former residence of Zhang Renjie. Zhang Renjie (1877~1950), also known as Zengcheng, Zijingjiang, Bejiang Drinking, a native of Nanxun, Huzhou, Zhejiang, was the founder of the first West Lake Exposition in 1929. In July 1927, Zhang Renjiao became the chairman of the provincial government, and the "Jingyi Villa" was his residence, and the building was built according to the mountain, protected by a reddish-brown stone wall, and the scale was grand. The main building of the villa is two European-style two-story buildings. The villa is a typical Republican building and an important part of the style architecture of Beishan Road Historic District.
