Chenglu was built during the Republic of China period and is the villa of Sheng Enyi, general manager of Hanyeping Company, the first steel complex in China. The first stop of Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Meiling's honeymoon trip was Chenglu in West Lake, where Chiang Kai-shek stayed to recuperate after the "Xi'an Incident". In March 1937, Chiang Kai-shek secretly met here with CPC representatives Zhou Enlai and Pan Hannian. Chenglu has a construction area of about 900 square meters, the main body is a three-storey villa, three bays on the left and right, and the outer wall is cream yellow. Chenglu is the residence of a leading figure in China's modern industrial development, an important place for cooperation and negotiations between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and one of the witnesses of China's modern history.
